Unlike stainless steel alternatives, our skivers are made from high carbon, chromium-containing tool steel with a hardness rating of HRC 60-62, guaranteeing superior performance and longevity.
The handles of our skivers are made from beech wood, meticulously polished and dyed with Danish oil for a refined finish. Please note that due to the natural variations in wood, the color of the handles may slightly differ from piece to piece, adding a unique touch to each tool.
With each skiving tool, you will receive a sharpener tool equipped with a leather strap with polishing compound on one side and sandpaper (600 grit) on the other. This allows you to periodically polish the blade to maintain its sharpness for prolonged use.
